Elias Gilbert, conductor

Elias is Music Director of the Johns Hopkins Medical Orchestra, an orchestra of doctors, medical students, researchers, and community members in East Baltimore, Maryland. In Fall 2026, Elias will begin graduate studies in conducting with Ransom Wilson at the University of Alabama, serving as Music Director of the UA Campus Orchestra and Assistant Conductor of the Huxford Symphony Orchestra. Elias has previously served as Music Director of the Yale Undergraduate Chamber Orchestra, and Davenport Pops Orchestra, and Assistant Conductor of the Yale Symphony Orchestra. His primary mentors include Ransom Wilson, William Boughton, Dr. John Anderson, and Dr. Harlan Parker.
